We are passionate about connecting with our local community to improve peoples lives and make the world a better place.

Local Communities

We work with our local communities to plant trees and protect wildlife, with more schemes coming soon.

Our recent work with East Bierley village resulted in them being awarded Green Flag status, only one of four villages within the U.K. to receive the accolade.

Supporting Local Sporting Clubs

Sporting hobbies are fully integrated into our teams here at Essential, we embrace the positive mental and physical health impact sport has on society.  This is why we sponsor local cricket, golf, rugby and ice skating clubs, helping to encourage more people to be involved in active sport.

Charitable Activities & Donations

During moments of crisis, we do our very best to support the most vulnerable. Working with Yorkshire Aid Convoy we donate products from our range of solutions, in addition to clothing, to help those who have been affected by war and natural disasters.

Through staff activities, we support national charities such as MACMILLAN and MIND. Activates include baking, dress down for work days and auctions. All proceeds go to the monthly chosen charity.

Getting People into Work

Getting People into Work

We believe in supporting people with a chance to explore a new career or to return to work. Our talent acquisition team work closely with local schools and colleges, providing apprenticeship schemes. Giving people the opportunity to start their career within engineering, IT, finance, HR, marketing, plus more…

We also work alongside government incentive programmes such as “Kick Start” to improve employment of 16 – 24 year olds, who are at high risk of long term unemployment.

Working with local schools, engaging in education to provide a successful programme. Not all 15 to 18 year olds are aware of the potential career opportunities within the medical device sector. Therefore, we aim to share the possibilities with students, directing them into the world of healthcare.

We really value your support and engagement with our school community around careers education, helping to improve the life chances of all our young people.

Our HR and talent acquisition team have strong relationships with local job centres, across multiple geographies, encouraging them to provide details of possible candidates for job vacancies that we are actively recruiting for.

All recruitment schemes supported by Essential Healthcare are designed to help improve employment across multiple area’s of the U.K. not just our local area, but those where new contracts have been awarded.
