Hybrid support surfaces typically combine the pressure redistribution properties of high specification foam, with air cell technology. The surfaces can be powered with a control unit, that delivers alternating therapy, or non-powered with a series of reactive air cells delivering pressure redistribution through immersion and envelopment.

Prior to using any type of support surface, it is paramount an in-depth patient and skin assessment is undertaken and any surface selected must be used as part of a holistic care plan, which includes regular repositioning.

TREZZO™ reactive air
