A selection of CMHR and high specification foam surfaces for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, for patients identified as being moderate to high risk.

Pressure relieving support surfaces made from foam, mould around the shape of the patient and increase the surface area of the body that is in contact with the surface. This results in bony prominence’s and areas at risk of developing pressure damage being immersed in the foam and enveloped by it, which redistributes peak pressures.

Prior to using any type of support surface, it is paramount an in-depth patient and skin assessment is undertaken and any surface selected must be used as part of a holistic care plan, which includes regular repositioning.
